Where breathwork meets somatic therapy & neuroscience
3-Day Breathwork
& Somatic Training
Learn Breathwork Designed for Your Nervous System
— Not to Override It
Not Your Average Breathwork Course

Most breathwork trainings push you to go harder, breathe faster, and release more — often beyond your nervous system’s capacity. The result? Feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or numb.

This 3-Day Breathwork & Somatic Foundation Training is one of the few breathwork trainings backed by somatic science. Instead of forcing breakthroughs, you’ll learn to work with your body’s natural capacity — building breath awareness, nervous system regulation, and emotional integration skills step-by-step.

Through a unique blend of science-based morning lectures and experiential afternoon breathwork journeys, you’ll discover the profound connection between your breath, body, and emotions. You’ll explore how breathwork integrates with somatic practices and nervous system regulation to create lasting transformation.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, have had challenging experiences with breathwork, or want to deepen your existing practice, this training will give you the tools and knowledge to tailor breathwork to your needs — ensuring a safe, empowering, and deeply restorative experience.

Format: 15-hour program over 3 days
3Day Breath & Somatic Training Introduction Video
WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?
  • Breathwork Beginners
Learn the strong foundation you need to build a daily practice.
Most beginners jump into intense breathwork without understanding breath mechanics or the nervous system. In this training, you’ll learn how to open your breath safely, read your body, and use the right breath technique for what you need each day.
  • Experienced Breathwork Practitioners
Go deeper by learning the somatic approach—not the altered-consciousness approach.
If you’ve done Holotropic, Rebirthing, or Conscious Connected Breathwork, you know the highs… and the crashes.
Here, you’ll learn how to stay in your body, follow natural waves, and release without overwhelming the system.
This is the missing link for practitioners who want depth, safety, and integration.
  • Yoga Teachers & Wellness Facilitators
Add a science-based, trauma-informed breath framework to your teaching.
Many yoga teachers guide breathwork but lack the nervous system education behind it.
This training gives you a clear, structured method you can integrate into classes, workshops, and privates—without pushing students into dysregulation.
  • Coaches & Therapists
Somatic tools to help clients regulate, feel, and transform.
If you support clients through stress, emotion, trauma, or transition, this training helps you guide them more safely.
You’ll learn body-based tools, state awareness, and breath interventions that deepen your work without crossing therapeutic boundaries.
THE NEUROSOMATIC BREATH LEARNING BLOCKS
This training teaches you breathwork through a simple, powerful 3-layer triangle so your body can open, regulate, and go deep safely.

  • Breath Fundamentals
Learn how to physically open your breath.
We work with rib mobility, diaphragm release, posture, and tension patterns so your breath becomes spacious, flexible, and supportive.
This is the foundation most people skip—and the reason breathwork often feels overwhelming.
  • Nervous System Mapping
Before choosing any breath technique, you need to know your state.
In freeze, you need activating breath.
In fight-flight, you need soothing breath.
In collapse, you need a gentle re-awakening.
Matching breath to your state changes everything:
from random guessing → to intentional regulation.
  • Somatic & Emotional Processing
Once the breath is open and the system is regulated, emotional release becomes natural and safe.
Here, breath follows the wave of your nervous system—not a forced or pushed intensity.
This is how you process stuck emotions, release stagnancy, and reconnect with yourself without overwhelm.

Detailed What You’ll Learn

MORNING LECTURES: Build Your Foundation
Mornings are 60% science and theory, followed by 40% in-body experience through short somatic exercises — so you can understand the neuroscience and feel it in your body.
  • Breath 101 – Learn how to open your full breath capacity, understand how your body’s history shapes your breathing patterns, and explore how different breath patterns influence your physiology. We’ll also address common misconceptions about breathwork, why it can sometimes feel overwhelming, and how to avoid overactivation.
  • Somatics 101 – Introduction to somatic awareness, the role of interoception and proprioception, and how to track sensations in the body. Learn grounding techniques, orienting to safety, and mapping areas of ease and tension.
  • Mapping Your Nervous System 101 – Learn to recognise and map your own sympathetic, parasympathetic, and freeze states in real time, and understand how your body shifts between these states. You’ll also discover how to calm and ground yourself during intense breathwork practice — and why this is essential before releasing deeper layers of tension or emotion.
  • How to: Match Breath to Nervous System State – Learn to choose breathing techniques for freeze, overwhelm, anxiety, or low energy.
  • How to: Release Stress & Stuckness with Breathwork – Identify stress patterns and use intentional breathing to restore balance.
  • How to: Process Emotions with Breathwork – Safe, somatic-based frameworks to recognise emotions, uncover deeper needs, and integrate emotional experiences. Understand the difference between productive discomfort and harmful overwhelm, so you can process without retraumatisation.

AFTERNOON BREATH JOURNEYS: Explore & Apply
Afternoons are where the science becomes sensation. These immersive sessions are 100% experiential — you’ll put the morning theory into practice and feel the shifts in your own body.
  • Breath Journey 1: Building the Foundation – Anchor safety and open your full breath. You’ll Ground and Orient your body (Layer 1), then Activate your Breath with gentle wave pendulation (Layer 2). Expanding breath capacity without overwhelm and preparing your nervous system for deeper work.
  • Breath Journey 2: Deepening into Emotional Release – With your breath open, explore how to safely meet and move through emotions stored in the body. This guided journey uses the NeuroSomatic Breath™ method to move through Somatic Release (Layer 3) and Emotional Release (Layer 4). Helping you process what your body has been holding and restore a sense of spaciousness.
  • Breath Journey 3 – The Full NeuroSomatic Breath™ Experience – Experience the complete 5-layer processing arc, integrating everything you learned on Days 1 and 2. You’ll leave with a fully regulated nervous system and a deep recharge of aliveness.

Course Highlights
  • 16 hours of immersive learning & practice – Three full days of step-by-step progression, combining breathwork, somatics, and nervous system science so the learning stays in your body, not just your head.
  • 30% science / 70% embodiment – Mornings give you clear, accessible theory you can understand; afternoons let you feel that science in your body through guided breathwork journeys.
  • Learn from a trauma-informed, nervous system-based breathwork method – NeuroSomatic Breath™ is unlike most breathwork approaches that push for big releases at all costs. Here, safety is the foundation and capacity is built gradually for lasting change.
  • Small group size for personalised attention – A contained, supportive space where your nervous system is truly respected. There’s no pushing from the facilitator — your body leads, your facilitator guides. You’ll also have dedicated emotional support if you need to step away from the group process.
  • Take home more than a technique – You’ll leave with a deep, embodied understanding of breathwork, the nervous system, and how to create a self-practice that supports you for life — transforming both your breath and your relationship with yourself.

Founder of NeuroSomatic Breath: Ebe Breathquest
Trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator, Somatic Practitioner, Nervous System Educator, Retreat Facilitator, E-RYT®500, YACEP®, Shadow Constellation Facilitator, Reiki Master, Sound Healer, Wellness Entrepreneur

In Ebe’s past chapter of life, she had a high-flying international career at Fortune 500 companies in China, Singapore, London, and Amsterdam. She felt like a corporate zombie, trapped in a cycle of burnout and feeling lost in life, numb to her emotions. Ebe had navigated the competitive landscapes of the corporate world and intimately understands the pressures and demands - grappling with the relentless pace, the constant drive for success, and the toll it takes on mental and physical well-being. Due to chronic stress, Ebe suffered from migraines, anxiety, insomnia, autoimmune disease, and ultimately three burnouts.

Despite years of contemplating quitting or changing her job, Ebe found herself stuck in a vicious shame cycle. She didn’t understand why she couldn't find the courage to change until she became educated on how her nervous system was stuck. She has spent the last 5 years studying breathwork and nervous system education. It started with using SOS breathwork to ease her anxiety at work, and now she's fully unstuck and reset her nervous system. She then finally made the courageous decision to quit her corporate job and become a wellness entrepreneur dedicated to spreading the power of breath.

Disappointed by the aggressive approaches of traditional breathwork, Ebe envisioned a new path—a gentle, trauma-informed approach that prioritized long-term nervous system healing. Thus, Spinalgetic Breathwork was born, a holistic practice blending breathwork, somatic experiencing, and nervous system education. By combining her firsthand experience with her expertise in breathwork, Ebe offers a unique pathway to transformation, empowering individuals to break free from the constraints and unlock their full potential

Ebe is committed to deepening her expertise and enriching her breathwork offerings. She is currently halfway through Peter Levine's three-year Somatic Experiencing Therapy training. This highly sought-after approach has captivated Orion guests, who have experienced the profound impact of integrating somatic techniques into breathwork sessions. By fostering a deeper connection to the body, these practices unlock transformative breakthroughs, offering participants a unique and empowering journey.

BLOG: 6 Common Misunderstanding Breathwork Practitioners Make and What’s Actually Happening in the Nervous System

"Breathwork is too intense for me/I have anxiety from breathwork"
  • What’s happening in your nervous system: The breath pace is too fast, pushing the nervous system into a fight-or-flight state, causing overwhelm and anxiety.

Lobster Hands (involuntary cramps)
  • What’s happening in your nervous system: A fight or freeze response is triggered by an imbalance in oxygen and CO2 levels, signaling distress and nervous system overactivation.

Falling Asleep During Breathwork/Don’t Know What Happened
  • What’s happening in your nervous system: The session is too intense, causing the nervous system to dissociate and move into a freeze or shutdown state.

Intense Emotional Flooding
  • What’s happening in your nervous system: The nervous system is overwhelmed by unprocessed emotions surfacing too rapidly, bypassing safe integration and leading to emotional overload.

Hyperventilation and Dizziness
  • What’s happening in your nervous system: Excessive breathing lowers CO2 levels too quickly, destabilizing the nervous system and causing lightheadedness or disconnection.

Feeling Numb or Detached Post-Session
  • What’s happening in your nervous system: Overactivation during the session leads to nervous system shutdown, leaving the practitioner feeling disconnected or emotionally flat.

These common misunderstanding highlight the importance of trauma-informed breathwork practices that align with the nervous system’s capacity. By working within your unique window of tolerance, you can ensure a safe, effective, and transformative experience.
BLOG: Why Learning Somatics & Nervous System Regulation Deepens Breathwork

Understanding the nervous system is key to unlocking the full potential of your breathwork practice. The nervous system operates across distinct states, including Fight, Flight, Freeze, and rest, which are influenced by past experiences, current triggers, and individual capacity for stress. This capacity, often referred to as the window of tolerance, varies from person to person and determines how much stimulation we can handle before becoming dysregulated.
  • Fight/Flight State: When the sympathetic nervous system is activated, the body prepares for action. This results in shallow, rapid breathing as the body gears up to respond to perceived threats.
  • Freeze State: If stress becomes overwhelming, the body may shut down into a freeze state. This can manifest as immobilization, dissociation, or emotional numbness, often accompanied by shallow or irregular breathing.

Breathwork isn’t a universal solution because individuals begin in different nervous system states. Tailoring breath practices to your current state ensures safety and maximizes the healing potential.
This session explores how somatic and nervous system education enhances breathwork by:
  • Tailoring Techniques: Learn to recognize your nervous system state and select breath practices that align with your current needs.
  • Expanding Your Window of Tolerance: Use trauma-informed approaches to gradually increase your capacity for handling stress.
  • Fostering Emotional Processing: Safely access and process suppressed emotions by working within your body’s natural rhythms.
  • Creating Safety: Build confidence and stability with somatic tools that prevent overwhelm and ensure a grounded experience.
  • Developing Long-Term Resilience: Equip yourself with skills to maintain a sustainable breathwork practice that evolves with your personal growth.

BLOG: Why may I cry or laugh during Breathwork?

- The science behind somatic & emotional processing -

Unprocessed emotions, overwhelming feelings, or trauma often become 'trapped' in the body when they exceed our immediate capacity to process them. As described in 'The Body Keeps the Score' by Bessel van der Kolk, our body tucks them away, like secrets in a Pandora's box, allowing us to move forward with life. However, when these unresolved emotions linger unprocessed, they can manifest as physical or emotional symptoms that impact our well-being.

Example 1: Imagine a childhood wound where no one was there to hold space for your emotions, leaving you feeling utterly alone and unworthy of love. This emotional trauma manifests as a persistent heart area contraction. It significantly affects your breath, making it shallow and constricted. In breathwork, you revisit the sensation of aloneness, giving it space to breathe, to process the somatic and emotional feelings.

Example 2: Picture the stress of an overwhelming job. Over time, chronic stress may lead to a sense of disconnection from your body, numbing you to your surroundings. In breathwork, you create a safe space to allow the anxiety and frustration to flow through you.

Body-centered Breathwork like Spinalgetic Breathwork provide a nurturing environment for you to revisit these trapped emotions. Crying, screaming, and laughter during breathwork offer pathways for your body to somatically process and release these emotions from the Pandora's box. This release is often experienced as a profound lightness in your body and a deeper connection to yourself.
